Each week the Guardian has a feature (The Gallery) where readers are asked to submit humorous images based on a weekly theme. This past week the theme was
“Premier League Teams In The Red” and The Sports Optimator jumped at the opportunity to photoshop faces where they don’t belong. I subm
itted three designs (shown below) and landed two in the seventeen image gallery for this week. My first attempt at submission fame proved successful as I landed the third place prize; a copy of
Bamboo Goalposts by Rowan Simons. They even used one of my images as the thumbnail for The Gallery under Editor’s Picks. Sadly mine wasn’t even the funniest, the “THIS IS A FIELD” image kept me laughing all day.
